How often should I change my Faucet filter cartridge?Updated 4 days ago
The Canopy Faucet Filter cartridge is designed to last about 90 days with regular use, though the exact lifespan can vary depending on the water quality in your home, the frequency of use, and your local water hardness. In areas with harder water or higher usage, you might notice a shorter filter lifespan.
If you're experiencing a significant drop in water pressure or leaking from around the filter cap after just a few weeks, we recommend checking the filter right away. Pressure can build up in the unit, and that can sometimes lead to damage. When inspecting the filter, if the interior medium looks cloudy or dark throughout, it’s definitely time to replace it.
To replace your filter:
Slide and hold the release switch.
Twist the filter cap so the aerator is facing up, then gently pull the cap off.
Remove the old filter by turning it counter-clockwise, you may need a tool, or the side of your replacement filter to do this.
Insert the new filter, turning clockwise to secure it.
Make sure the fin of the filter aligns with the markings on the unit before reattaching the cap.
