The Canopy Humidifier FilterUpdated 10 months ago
The Canopy Humidifier Filter is an integral component of the Canopy Humidifier, designed to provide optimal air quality and humidity in your living spaces. This filter is a crucial element in ensuring that the air you breathe is clean, free from mineral contaminants, and safe for your well-being, and your Humidifier will not operate properly without it.
The Canopy Humidifier Filter is specifically engineered to capture and trap minerals commonly found in tap water, such as calcium, magnesium, and other impurities. These minerals, if left unfiltered, could be released into the air as your humidifier operates.
With other humidifiers on the market, especially Ultrasonic units, you run the risk of "White dust" being produced and scattered around your home. When you use a humidifier with visible mist, and without a filter the water from your tanks is vaporized into the air, and any minerals present in the water are left behind as a white, powdery residue on your belongings.
The Canopy Filter effectively captures these materials, as well as bacteria and other irritants present in the water source, locking them in your unit.
As minerals and impurities are collected, the white paper of the filter will change color, offering a visual indication of its effective operation. The filter may turn shades such as pink, brown, orange, or other hues depending on the specific minerals present in your tap water. This transformation assures you that the filter is actively working to maintain clean and safe humidification.
While the recommended replacement interval is every 5-7 weeks, the actual lifespan may vary depending on the hardness of the water used in your humidifier. You can observe the filter's condition to determine when it needs replacement, typically when it becomes crusty, hardened, or heavily discolored it's time for a swap!
To ensure the longevity of your Canopy Humidifier Filter and maintain the humidifier's performance, it is recommended to allow the filter to dry out completely at least once a week. This simple step contributes to the filter's efficiency and your overall Canopy experience.
The Canopy filter is made of 90% paper, with non-compostable adhesive. Please check with your local compost provider to see if they allow Wicking Paper Filters for compost disposal.
