What is the Faucet Filter filtering out?Updated 4 days ago

Great question! The Canopy Faucet Filter uses a powerful multi-stage filtration system designed to give your skin (and your sink!) the clean water it deserves. Whether you’re washing your face or brushing your teeth, our filter helps remove common tap water contaminants that can lead to dryness, irritation, or breakouts.

Here’s how it works:

Micro Mesh Pre-Filter
The outer layer catches larger particles—like sediment or rust—before water moves through the interior carbon block. That means better performance and longer filter life.

Activated Carbon Block
Made from coconut shell fiber, our carbon block acts like a sponge—absorbing chlorine, chloramine, and other contaminants that can affect your skin and water quality.

The result? Cleaner, clearer water that’s gentler on your skin.

Our filter is tested to NSF/ANSI-42 standards, meaning it reduces:

  • Chlorine (which can dry and irritate skin)

  • Chloramine (a harsh chemical used to disinfect tap water)

  • Iron and Manganese (which can clog pores and dull your glow)

  • Zinc (linked to itching or burning skin)

  • Hydrogen Sulfide (that “rotten egg” smell)

  • Mercury, Pesticides, and Herbicides (yes, really—those can sneak into tap water, too)

We also use a built-in flow regulator to keep water in contact with the filter longer—maximizing its effectiveness with every rinse.

If you’re after skin-loving hydration from the tap, you’re in the right place.
