What's the Faucet Filter's expected flow rate?Updated 3 days ago

Did the filter lower my sink’s water pressure?

Yes, the Faucet Filter intentionally reduces the flow to help the filter do its job well.

The filter is designed to slow down the flow rate to 0.5 gallons per minute (GPM) to give water more time to pass through the filtration media. This ensures a higher level of contaminant removal and supports water conservation, too.

This slower flow allows water to have maximum contact time with the carbon block and mesh, reducing chlorine, chloramine, and other impurities more effectively.

While it may feel like the pressure has dropped, that’s just the filter working to deliver cleaner, healthier water for your skin and daily routine.

Why does it feel like my hot water takes longer to come through?

You may also notice that your water isn’t getting hot as quickly as it used to - that’s totally normal!

Because the water is moving more slowly, it might take a little longer for hot water to reach your sink. But don’t worry—you’re not using more water. It’s just flowing at a gentler pace, which means the warm-up takes a bit more time than it used to.
