How do I use my Bedside, or Large Room Humidifier?Updated 2 hours ago
At Canopy, we believe in simplicity and intelligence, and our evaporative Humidifiers embody this philosophy. With just a single button located on the top grate, labeled On/Off you're in command of a world of comfort.
The easiest and most effective way to use your Canopy Humidifier is Auto Mode.
Auto Mode uses an embedded light sensor (the indicator farthest from the On/Off button on the top of your unit) to adjust the fan speed and therefore the evaporation rate throughout the day. It is designed to keep your space comfortable while helping to reduce the possibility of mold growth.
During the day, when there is light in the room (natural or artificial) shining on the top of your humidifier, Auto Mode runs the fan on Low. This helps conserve water and power while still adding gentle hydration to the air.
At night, when the room is dark and hydration matters most, Auto Mode automatically increases performance and runs the fan on Medium. This gives you a boost of moisture while you sleep, when your body and skin benefit most from optimal humidity.
If you prefer complete control, you can switch out of Auto Mode and choose a specific fan speed yourself. You can manually set the fan to either Low, Medium, or High which will adjust the speed, and the evaporation rate. Low is the most gentle and quiet. Medium offers a balance of performance and sound. High gives you the strongest output for larger or drier spaces.
Your Canopy Humidifier is designed not only to hydrate your air, but also to help reduce the possibility of mold growth inside the unit.
When the tank empties and the device stops detecting water in the tray, the fan will continue to run for about 20 minutes, then will shut off. This “dry-out” period helps fully dry the filter and internal components.
You can also manually power off your device, however, if there is still water remaining in your tray the Canopy Humidifier won't remain off for long. Allowing water to sit in your Humidifier for extended periods of time could result in mold growth and deteriorate performance over time. That's why the Canopy Humidifier was built with Smart Persistent Airflow. Our SPA technology means a sensor that tracks whether or not there is water that still needs to be used. Your Humidifier will reactivate and run until all the water has been used to make sure you're getting the best possible performance.
The light labeled "Water" will illuminate to tell you when to add more water to the tank.
The light labeled "Filter" will illuminate when it's time to replace the filter. Every time you insert a new Replacement Filter hold the "on/off" button down for 30 seconds to reset this indicator light.
The Canopy Humidifier also has a setting called Night Mode, which automatically shuts the Humidifier's lights off when the room is darkened and it's time to go to sleep.
