How do I use the fragrance oils with my unit?Updated 23 days ago
At Canopy, we've reimagined aroma diffusion, crafting an effortless experience that harmonizes perfectly with your space. Our unique Aroma Stones are the key to infusing your space with captivating fragrances through evaporation.
There are 3 available Aroma Diffusion accessories you will need to harness the power of our essential and fragrance oils.
When using our Diatomite products please be sure to leave the plastic film attached to the bottom. This protective layer ensures the diatomite ceramic remains sealed, preventing leaks.
To protect your furniture, always place your Aroma Diffusion accessories on a coaster, tray, or another protective barrier once oil has been added. Direct contact with furniture or clothing can lead to staining, warping, or other damage due to the potency of aroma oils.
To add an aroma, open your Aroma Diffuser, place the Well inside on the tray and add oil. Close the Diffuser and select your desired fan setting. You will start to experience aroma diffusion between 30 minutes and one hour as the diatomite absorbs the oil. While you wait, add an aroma stone and some of the same oil to the top grill to kickstart the scent. Learn more here.
Large Room / Bedside 2.0 / Nursery 2.0 Humidifiers
Locate the divot at the center of your Humidifier's top grate – a designated spot for the Aroma Stone. Position the Aroma Stone within the divot, aligning it seamlessly with your Humidifier.
Add 5-8 drops of your chosen essential or fragrance oil onto the Aroma Stone.
The Diffusion Well is best for filling your space with a long-lasting scent and goes inside your Humidifier on your unit's tray in the middle of the filter. To add scent, place the oil bottle upside down into the Diffusion Well and close the unit up.
Power on your Humidifier, and let the enchantment begin. As evaporation takes center stage, it carries the alluring aroma throughout your space.
Original Bedside / Nursery Humidifiers
Locate the divot at the center of your Humidifier's top grate – a designated spot for the Aroma Stone. Position the Aroma Stone within the divot, aligning it seamlessly with your Humidifier.
Add 5-8 drops of your chosen essential or fragrance oil onto the Aroma Stone.
Some Bedside Humidifiers are compatible with our Diffusion Wells, check your unit's tray for details if you don't see a space for a Well DO NOT place oil or related accessories on your tray as this will cause discoloration or damage to your product. See how here.
The grate of the Portable Humidifier is positioned at a slant, so you don't want to add oil to a stone already sitting in the divot as it may drip and stain the body of your humidifier.
Instead, place the aroma stone on a flat surface. Drop 5-8 drops of oil onto the stone once most of the oil has been absorbed into the diatomite material, place the stone on top of the grate to diffuse the aroma.
No worries about the Aroma Stone slipping, as our newest Stones have a magnetic interior which will keep it in place!
When switching scents, remove the stone and repeat the process.
Avoid directly applying oil to surfaces that could be affected by its strength, especially those prone to damage like wood veneer. Instead, try using a paper towel or the Canopy aroma tray as a safe spot to apply oils.
Each Canopy Filtered Showerhead comes with at least one bottle of Aroma Oil and a hooked felt diffuser.
To apply the oil, find a flat surface and drip 15 drops of your desired oil into the diffusion felt. To avoid any potential damage don’t do this on a painted or porous surface as some fragrances or essential oils can be quite porous. If you’re keeping your aroma oil bottle in the shower please use the silicone sleeve to protect your Aroma bottle in case of a slip.
Find a place in the shower or bathroom where the felt can hang freely. Maybe a shower caddy, or self, we love hanging it from the pipe directly behind the showerhead itself.
The scent will fill your bathroom! Once the fragrance begins to fade refill the felt with additional drops of oil.
If you’re looking to maintain the Integrity of each scent then only use one Aroma per felt. Or mix and match to add some variety to your shower time!
The Canopy oils can also work like a shower bomb! As the water starts running simply drip 4-5 drops of your preferred Aroma Oil into the shower basin. The steam will release the scent creating a spa-like experience at home.
