How often should I change my Showerhead filter?Updated 20 days ago
The Canopy Showerhead filters are designed to last for approximately 3,000 gallons of water, roughly 180 showers, or 3 months (depending on the number of people in the home and showers taken).
This varies depending on the mineral content of your local water. If you live in an area with hard water, you may need to replace the filter more frequently to maintain proper water filtration.
A useful way to determine when it’s time to change your filter is by checking the gold flecks inside the filter. These flecks act as a visual indicator of the filter’s remaining capacity. Once the gold has disappeared and the filter appears all black and white, the filter is full and needs replacing.
If you continue using your fixed or handheld Showerhead with a completely saturated filter, it may lead to leaking and water spraying from the sides of the Showerhead’s faceplate. This occurs because a full filter can cause pressure buildup inside the Showerhead.
No need to worry if your filter is fully saturated and you don’t have a replacement on hand. Both our fixed and handheld Showerheads are designed to operate without a filter inserted, with no change to water pressure. This ensures uninterrupted use while you wait for your new filter to arrive.
