Can I adjust my Showerhead's water pressure?Updated 2 minutes ago

Great question! All Handheld Filtered Showerheads, are set to a 1.8 GPM (gallons per minute) flow rate and are not adjustable, no matter where you're located.

If you have a Canopy Filtered Showerhead (Fixed model), flow rate options may vary based on where you purchased it and your shipping address:

  • From our website: You’ll receive either the Low Flow (1.8 GPM) or High Flow (2.5 GPM) model depending on local water regulations in the area of your shipping address. For Showerhead Systems, the included diverter assures compliance with local requirements for flow restrictions. In California only the Handheld Filtered Showerhead is available.

  • From a retail partner: You’ll receive the Low Flow model (1.8 GPM).

How to adjust your water pressure:

It's not possible to adjust the water pressure of the Handheld Showerhead or Low Flow Fixed Showerheads.

High Flow Fixed Showerheads can be adjusted! Each one comes with two interchangeable flow restrictors. If you’d like to reduce the pressure, simply swap the current restrictor for the one included in your accessories kit. To distinguish between the two restrictors, keep in mind that the Low Flow (1.8 GPM) option is black, while the High Flow (2.5GPM) variant is grey/white.

Remove the face from the shell of the Showerhead, the same way you would when changing the filter:

Take a skinny tool, like a chopstick or pencil, and poke through the Showerhead to pop out the flow restrictor. (Be mindful of your hands, and don't use anything sharp for this task!)

Insert the 1.8 GPM flow restrictor, found in your Showerhead packaging. Reinsert the mesh rubber washer back in place and you're ready to go!

Should you require further assistance or encounter any questions during this process, please don't hesitate to reach out. We're here to guide you through the journey!

Note: All Canopy showerhead products are currently proceeding through the MAEDbS certification and listing process in accordance with California law.
